Overview
Taza is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app works entirely offline and collects no personal data.
Data We Do Not Collect
- No account or login is required
- No name, email address, or personal identifiers
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising identifiers
- No location data
- No microphone or camera access
Data Stored on Your Device
All app data (your progress, streak, quiz scores, and flashcard history) is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. It never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
In-App Purchases
Taza offers a one-time in-app purchase ($19.99) to unlock all lessons. Payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), depending on where you downloaded the app. We never see or store your payment information. Purchase receipts are verified through Apple's or Google's servers only.
RevenueCat is used solely to verify your purchase entitlement. RevenueCat may receive your anonymized App Store/Google Play receipt for this purpose. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Taza does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data is collected, the app is safe for users of all ages.
Your Privacy Rights
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for advertising or marketing purposes.
Because Taza does not collect personal data, there is generally nothing to access, correct, delete, or transfer under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. The only outside services involved in running the app are:
- RevenueCat, which verifies your purchase using an anonymized App Store/Google Play receipt.
- Cloudflare R2, which stores the app's audio files. Audio is delivered through our own servers, so Cloudflare never receives anything directly from your device.
- Google Cloud Text-to-Speech and ElevenLabs, which are occasionally used on our servers to generate pronunciation audio that isn't already available. Only the Spanish word or phrase being voiced is sent, never any information about you.
