I was using too many different apps to study Spanish alongside the course I was taking. Some apps were missing features I wanted, others were decent, but together they cost me more than $150 per year. Not once... Every. Year.
After a while, that started to feel frustrating. I was paying for apps I did not really own, switching between different tools, and still not getting the exact learning experience I wanted.
I was also a long-time user of a very popular language-learning app, but over time I got tired of lessons that felt too gamified and practice modes that did not give me enough control. Whether the app itself changed or my needs changed, I eventually reached a point where I wanted something more practical, direct, and useful for how I actually study.
That is what pushed me to make this app.
I should also be clear: I am not an app developer by background, and Taza is the first app that I've ever made. I built it because I wanted a better way to study Spanish.
Now I can build the notes, lessons, practice modes, and features that I actually want and matter for everyday Spanish. My goal is to make Spanish feel more organized, more affordable, and less overwhelming, without forcing people into another expensive subscription.
Instead of relying on six different apps, I wanted one app that could bring the most useful parts together in one place.
That app became Taza.
